GDR team championship in chess 1959
At the GDR team championship in chess in 1959 , TSC Oberschöneweide won the GDR team championship for the first time.
A round-robin tournament was played , with each team fought four team matches on eight boards against each other, the so-called half-Scheveningen system . There were a total of 60 team fights, so 480 games.
