Dainis Krištopāns (born September 27, 1990 in Ludza , Latvian SSR , Soviet Union ) is a Latvian handball player who is mostly used on the right back area.
The 2.15 m tall and 135 kg heavy left-hander began his career at SK Latgols Ludza . From 2009 he played for the Slovak top club HT Tatran Prešov , with whom he won the championship and cup in 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014 and 2015. In the SEHA league 2011/12 and 2013/14 he reached the final four and was the third top scorer in the league in 2013/14 with 93 goals in 17 games. Internationally, Krištopāns played in the group phase of the EHF Champions League 2010/11 , in the quarterfinals of the EHF Cup 2011/12 and the group phase of the EHF European Cup 2012/13 and 2013/14 . From summer 2015 he was under contract with the Belarusian first division club Brest GK Meschkow . With Brest GK Meschkow he won both the Belarusian championship and the Belarusian cup in 2016. In the summer of 2017 he joined the Macedonian first division club RK Vardar Skopje . With Vardar he won the North Macedonian Championship in 2018 and 2019, the North Macedonian Cup in 2018, and in 2019 he won the SEHA League and the EHF Champions League . From February 2020, Krištopāns was under contract with the Bundesliga club Füchse Berlin until the end of the season. He has been under contract with the French club Paris Saint-Germain since summer 2020 .
Dainis Krištopāns is part of the Latvian national team . In qualifying for the 2015 men's handball world championship , he was the top Latvian goalscorer with 33 goals in six games.
