Clos was active in karting from 1999 to 2005 . In 2004, Clos also started in the Spanish Formula Junior, in which he immediately finished fourth overall. In the following two seasons, Clos was active in the Italian Formula Renault and in the Formula Renault 2.0 Eurocup . After he finished 17th overall in the Italian Formula Renault in 2005, he won the championship title a year later. In the 2006 Formula Renault 2.0 Eurocup, Clos finished seventh overall with three wins. In 2007 he switched to the Formula 3 Euro Series and achieved twelfth place in the overall standings for Signature Plus . In the 2008 Formula 3 Euro Series season , Clos moved to the Prema Powerteam and was 14th in the overall standings.
In 2008, Clos also took part in Formula 1 test drives for Williams . Although he did not win a race in the Formula 3 Euro Series , he was signed by Racing Engineering for the 2009 GP2 series . After scoring no points on the first nine race weekends, he achieved a podium finish in the last race of the season. Clos benefited from some punishments for the drivers placed in front of him. At the end of the season he finished 21st overall. Clos also took part in some Formula Renault 3.5 races. In the GP2 Asia Series season 2009/2010 Clos appeared for Trident Racing to two races. At the end of the season he finished 27th overall. In 2010 he contested his second season in the European GP2 series as a teammate of Christian Vietoris for Racing Engineering. With a third place at the season opener, he got off to a good start in the new season and won his first race in the GP2 series in the sprint race in Istanbul . At Spa-Francorchamps he had to pause the sprint race due to a sprained vertebra that he sustained in an accident in the main race. With a few places in the top positions, he finished fourth overall at the end of the season and was ahead of his teammate, who was ninth. In 2011 Clos stayed with Racing Engineering and competed for the racing team in the GP2 Asia and GP2 series. He finished the season of the GP2 Asia Series with a win in the last run in ninth place in the drivers' standings. In the GP2 series he finished eighth overall with two second places as the best results. Internally, he was beaten by Vietoris, who finished seventh, although his teammate did not take part in all races. After the season he started for Rapax at the GP2 Final 2011 and finished twelfth. He then completed a Formula 1 test drive for HRT .
In 2012 , Clos received a contract with HRT as a test driver and in this role took part in training on several Grand Prix weekends. In addition, he returned to the GP2 series for two race weekends for Barwa Addax . In 2013 Clos was initially without a cockpit. At the end of July he received a GP2 cockpit at MP Motorsport . With a second place as the best result, he finished the season in 18th place overall.
