Thank you for nothing is an EP by the German rock band Böhse Onkelz . It was released in October 1997 together with the first edition of the official band biography of the same name , which was accompanied by the EP.
History of origin
The Onkelz decided to add this EP to their biography, as the songs it contained were previously sold as bootlegs on the black market for a lot of money. The aim was to make the material more accessible to the fans, even if the recordings are not of the best quality.
content
The eight songs on the EP all come from the band's early days and were recorded in the early 1980s. The pieces Bruno Baumann , Ich lieb 'mich , Idiot and Deutsche Welle are taken from various demo tapes of the group, while the songs Hippies and Religion were included on the sampler Soundtracks zum Untergang 2 , from 1982. I like and ugly are studio recordings that were not used for the album The Nice Man .
