Live in Vienna ( Vienna is the English name of Austria's capital Vienna ) is the first video and live album by the German rock band Böhse Onkelz . It was released on March 16, 1992 on the Bellaphon Records label as CD , LP , MC , and VHS versions. On March 28, 2008 the album was also released on DVD .

content

The album contains the live recording of the band's concert on December 13, 1991 in Vienna . The group played 30 tracks from all of their studio albums released up to that time, of which only 18 or 19 are included on the album. The complete appearance, on the other hand, is only available as a bootleg . In addition to the songs, the video version contains four interviews, but not the song Stöckel and Strapse .

Cover design

The album cover shows the band performing on stage in dark blue spotlights. In the foreground you can see a black crosshair with a red dot in the middle. In the top left of the picture you can find the logo böhse onkelz and the title live in vienna in white. In addition, the white lettering 70 minutes of live power is at the bottom of the screen . With the VHS and DVD versions, 80 minutes of live power can be read instead . The DVD version also shows a smaller image section of the CD cover and also includes the year 1991 on the logo .

At the time of publication, the video album only entered the charts in Austria and was ranked 38th there, staying in the top 100 for two weeks. It was the band's first ever chart position. Only after it was re-released on DVD in 2008 did Live in Vienna also reach number 61 in the charts in Germany for a week.

The video of the album was awarded a platinum record in Germany in 2003 for more than 50,000 units sold , while the CD version received a gold record in the same year for over 250,000 copies sold .
