Background information on individual songs

Power for whoever doesn't want it

The song addresses the problem that often arises, that in a society the rulers often also use their power. Politicians are accused of failing to keep election promises and ironically demanded that power should be given to those who do not want them.

No amnesty for MTV

The song deals with the conflict between the Onkelz and the TV station MTV . In it they sing that they have not started the "fight" but know how to defend themselves. They also denounce the behavior of MTVs.

How can that be

This title deals with the subject of child abuse and child prostitution in the so-called Third World countries.

No time

The song is about the time that people waste on unimportant things. Man should better use the day because it is intended for him. ( "The day is meant for you - don't let it go by" )

Only when I'm drunk

The song is about longing for someone, but you don't dare to speak to the person, which is why you lower your shame line with alcohol. "Only when I'm drunk do you come to my mind"

Pressure Magazine

Thomas Kupfer from the music magazine Rock Hard rated dopamine with eight out of a possible ten points. He thinks the album is "a lot more melodic" than previous releases. The Onkelz had developed again "and with some songs they broke new stylistic territory". The band would "no longer need to wallow in pathos and self-pity, instead a good portion of (self) irony comes to the fore", which is why "'Dopamin' can easily be considered the band's most mature album to date".
