David Ramsey
David Ramsey (born November 17, 1971 in Detroit , Michigan ) is an American actor , best known for his roles in the series Dexter and Arrow .
life and career
David Ramsey was born in Detroit as one of six children . He made his first experiences with acting in a theater play in church. After graduating from Mumford High School, he attended the University of South Carolina on a scholarship .
Although David Ramsey appeared in the 1987 film The Voodoo Curse , he has only been on television regularly since 1995. In 1996 and 1997, for example, he had minor roles in the films The Mad Professor , The Brady Family 2 and Con Air . His first leading role was that of David Randolph in the UPN aired sitcom Good News , which he played between 1997 and 1998. In the following years he was seen in several films, for example in The Happiness Principle as Sidney Parker . This was followed by guest appearances in For Your Love , Girlfriends , The Guardian - Retter mit Herz , Strong Medicine: Two Doctors Like Fire and Ice , Navy CIS , One on One , Crossing Jordan - Pathologist with Profile , CSI: Miami and Charmed - Magical Witches . Despite all these roles, he only gained notoriety through the role of Anton Biggs in the Showtime series Dexter . He played this role between 2008 and 2009 in a total of 17 episodes of the series. His role as Joseph in the film Mothers and Daughters also increased his fame. After a leading role in the short-lived series Outlaw and appearances in various television series, including Grey's Anatomy , The Defenders and Blue Bloods - Crime Scene New York , David Ramsey has been on The CW series Arrow alongside Stephen Amell , Katie since October 2012 See Cassidy , Willa Holland , Emily Bett Rickards and Susanna Thompson . He embodies the ex-military John Diggle , who is the bodyguard and helper of the main character.
