Dennis Geiger (born June 10, 1998 in Mosbach ) is a German football player . The central midfielder is under contract with Bundesliga club TSG 1899 Hoffenheim and is a young German national player.

Career

societies

In 2009 Geiger moved from SV Alemannia Sattelbach to the TSG 1899 Hoffenheim youth training center . For the second team he played 25 times in the Regionalliga Südwest in the 2016/17 season and scored five goals. Geiger made his competitive debut for the first team on August 12, 2017 in a 1-0 victory in the DFB Cup against FC Rot-Weiß Erfurt . On August 19, 2017, he played in the Bundesliga for the first time in a 1-0 home win against Werder Bremen . Geiger scored his first Bundesliga goal on September 23, 2017 in a 2-0 home win against FC Schalke 04 .

His contract in Hoffenheim runs until 2022.

National team

Geiger has been playing for youth national teams of the German Football Association since the U15 . With the U17 selection , he took part in the U17 European Championship in Bulgaria in May 2015 . He was used twice in the tournament and became Vice European Champion with his team. In July 2017 Geiger was in the German squad for the U19 European Championship in Georgia and was used three times in the tournament that Germany finished after the group stage.
