Philipp Pentke (born May 1, 1985 in Freiberg ) is a German soccer goalkeeper who is under contract with TSG 1899 Hoffenheim .
Career
Philipp Pentke played at BSC Freiberg in his youth and then moved to the youth department of Dynamo Dresden , where he played until 2004. In 2004 he moved to TSV 1860 Munich on a free transfer , but only played in the regional league team. In 2005 he moved up to the professional squad at TSV 1860, but remained without a competitive game. In 2007, FC Augsburg signed Pentke on a free transfer, where he also remained without a competitive game for the professional team. In 2008 Energie Cottbus brought Pentke as the third goalkeeper.
After a year in Lusatia , in which he was again without a game in professional football, he moved to the regional division Chemnitzer FC in the summer of 2009 , where he was the goalkeeper from the sixth match day. In 2011 he was promoted to the 3rd division with Chemnitz . On July 23 of the same year, he completed his first professional appearance in the game at 1. FC Saarbrücken . Pentke stayed in goal for all 38 games of the season and finished ninth with Chemnitzer FC in the 2011/12 season . The club separated from him at the end of the 2014/15 season .
Pentke then moved up to the season 2015/16 for Bayern Regionalliga side SSV Jahn Regensburg , which he out right away as a goalkeeper again in the 3. Liga and one year in the 2. Bundesliga rise. In the decisive relegation game to the 2nd league in the Allianz Arena , his goal was won by fans of TSV 1860 München u. a. pelted with seat shells. Pentke described these incidents as "crazy" after the game.
Following the 2018/19 second division season , Pentke left Jahn after four years for private reasons and signed a two-year contract with Bundesliga club TSG 1899 Hoffenheim . There, at the age of 34, he made his Bundesliga debut on January 18, 2020 in the 1: 2 defeat against Eintracht Frankfurt , as regular goalkeeper Oliver Baumann had had an operation on his meniscus, and represented him in four league games and one cup game.

Pentke has been in a relationship with the Dutch handball player Maura Visser since November 2013 .
