Joshua Brenet (born March 20, 1994 in Kerkrade , the Netherlands ) is a Dutch football player . The defender is primarily used as a right defender and is under contract with Vitesse Arnheim as a loan player from TSG 1899 Hoffenheim . He is also a Dutch international.
Career
society
Brenet first played for SV Heerlen and Roda Kerkrade before running for clubs in the province of North Holland from 2006 to 2011 . Then Brenet joined the PSV Eindhoven youth academy . On December 6, 2012, he completed his first appearance in professional football in the 3-1 victory in the group stage of the Europa League against SSC Napoli . Before and after this mission he was only used in the A-youth and in the reserve team. On August 17, 2013 Brenet - meanwhile outgrown the youth - played in the 3-0 win on the third match day of the Eredivisie 2013/14 against Go Ahead Eagles Deventer for the first time in the top Dutch league. For the professional team, he came to twelve missions without scoring; PSV Eindhoven finished fourth in the table at the end of the season. In the following season Brenet scored his first goal in the Eredivisie in a 3-1 win on matchday 30 against PEC Zwolle with the goal to lead 2-1. At the end of the said season and also in the 2015/16 and 2017/18 seasons, Brenet won the Dutch championship with PSV Eindhoven.
For the 2018/19 season, Brenet moved to the Bundesliga for TSG 1899 Hoffenheim . His contract runs until 2022. He scored his first goal in the Bundesliga on September 25, 2018, the 5th matchday of that season in a 3-1 away win against Hannover 96 .
After 20 appearances in one and a half years (three goals, one assist) for TSG, the Dutchman was awarded to Vitesse Arnhem in the Eredivisie at the end of January 2020 until the end of the season . He was used in 4 league games (3 times from the start) before the season was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic .
For the season 2020/21 returned Brenet for TSG 1899 Hoffenheim back.

Brenet ran 11 times for the Netherlands U21 national team and made his debut in 2016 for the senior team .
