Konstantinos "Kóstas" Stafylidis ( Greek Κωνσταντίνος Σταφυλίδης , born December 2, 1993 in Thessaloniki ) is a Greek football player who is under contract with TSG 1899 Hoffenheim .

Career

Konstantinos Stafylidis switched from youth to the first team at PAOK Saloniki in 2011 . In the Greek Super League he made his debut on November 20, 2011 (10th matchday) in a 3-0 win at home against Panetolikos ; he prepared the 2-0 intermediate result. He scored his first goal on January 6, 2013 (16th matchday) when he won the away game against Panthrakikos with the goal to make it 4-1 in the 90th minute with a header.

For the 2013/14 season , Stafylidis moved to Bayer 04 Leverkusen . He made his Bundesliga debut on November 30, 2013 (14th matchday) in a 3-0 home win against 1. FC Nürnberg when he came on for Gonzalo Castro in the 83rd minute .

For the 2014/15 season , Stafylidis was loaned to the Premier League relegated FC Fulham . He made his competitive debut for Fulham on August 9, 2014 (1st match day) in the away game against Ipswich Town , in which he was called up in the starting line-up and used over the full game distance. Overall, he was able to play 38 of the 46 league games.

After the loan period ended, Stafylidis returned to Leverkusen. After he had not played in the first round of the DFB Cup and was not in the squad on the first Bundesliga match, he moved to FC Augsburg on August 20, 2015 . Stafylidis received a contract valid until June 30, 2017. He scored his first Bundesliga goal on February 6, 2016 (20th match day) in a 2-1 defeat in the away game against FC Ingolstadt 04 with the goal to make it 1-0 in the 14th minute.

During the winter break 2017/18 he was awarded for six months to the English first division club Stoke City .

For the 2019/20 season, Stafylidis moved to TSG 1899 Hoffenheim , where he received a contract until 2023.

National team

Stafylidis took part with the U19 national team in the U19 European Championship , which was held in Estonia from July 3 to 15, 2012 , and was only defeated 0: 1 with his team in the final of Spain's selection . For the senior team he made his debut on November 14, 2012 in Dublin in the 1-0 win in the international match against the selection of Ireland .

He scored his first international goal on October 11, 2015 in the European Championship qualifier against Hungary, which Greece won 4-3.
