30th 1 Children's paradise September 19, 2001 Rolf Liccini
The SAR 71 team takes part in a rescue demonstration in Heidepark Soltau and while pilot Alexander Karuhn, emergency doctor Dr. Maren Maibach and paramedic Torsten Biedenstedt have no objection to a day in the amusement park, on-board technician Jan Wollcke would rather spend time with his family. When Alexander Karuhn and Maren Maibach, who are now a couple, are testing the wild water course, a misfortune happens: A boy falls out of one of the wagons and is seriously injured. The first real mission of the day begins for the rescue pilots and this leads them to the University Clinic Eppendorf where Torsten Biedenstedt responds to his father, Prof. Dr. Bernd Biedenstedt, meets and is strangely dismissive. The first mission should be followed by more, because during a hiking excursion a little boy seriously injured himself with a knife and has to be flown to the clinic in Hamburg. Ultimately, the Heidepark Soltau itself will once again be the scene of the last mission of the day: there, the rescue pilots must prevent an extended suicide. Meanwhile, Jan Wollcke and his wife have an argument: Iris Wollcke would like her husband to take parental leave, but he is afraid of losing his position on the team and refuses. In the end, it is pilot Alexander Karuhn who can give the couple a helpful tip: an au pair .

Alexander Karuhn and Maren Maibach enjoy their time together as a couple and plan their future, but initially they hide their relationship from their colleagues, but are seen by Jan Wollcke when they buy beds together. Colonel Dr. By chance, Kettwig also learns about the relationship and is initially surprised, but tolerates the two of them continuing to fly rescue missions, even though this contradicts the regulations. During the next mission, the rescuers are confronted with a young couple who suffered an electric shock while moving, and a carriage ride on Father's Day leads to an accident with consequences. While the SAR 71 team can hardly keep up with the care of the injured, a second rescue helicopter has to be called in. Back at the rescue center, emergency doctor Dr. Maren Maibach received shocking news that changed her life: her sister Kerstin had a car accident and passed away.

A mission the next day leads the rescuers to an abandoned farm where a person is said to have suffered a heart attack, but there is only one criminal waiting for the team who hijacked the helicopter to get his brother, who was surrounded by the SEK during a hostage situation, to free. A dangerous flight starts for the crew of SAR 71 because the brother of their kidnapper is shot by the police when he is freed and has to be looked after. The surprise is all the greater the next morning, because Colonel Doctor Dr. Kettwig presents an old friend: Medical officer Dr. Ilona Müller. While on-board technician Jan Wollcke and pilot Alexander Karuhn already know the emergency doctor, it is Torsten Biedenstedt's first encounter with his new supervisor and Ilona Müller is immediately fascinated. Meanwhile, the team is called to an accident with an agricultural machine, but a helicopter present in the field hinders the crew as soon as they approach the scene and crashes a little later.
