Thomas "Tom" Wlaschiha (born  June 20, 1973 in Dohna ) is a German actor . He became internationally known for the role of Jaqen H'ghar in the television series Game of Thrones .

Life

Wlaschiha grew up near Dresden . After the Wall came down , he spent a school year in the United States . After graduating from high school, he studied acting from 1992 to 1996 at the Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy University of Music and Theater in Leipzig .

During an engagement from 1996 to 1999 at the Young Generation Theater in Dresden, he starred in the television film I wish you love (1999) by director Wiktor Grodecki. In the television series Die Rettungsflieger he played the role of paramedic Torsten Biedenstedt. In 2000 he played in an episode of the ARD television series Tatort . In 2001 he got the lead role of the student Oliver in the comedy Boys in Love . Various guest appearances in television series such as Die Sitte and Coast Guard followed . In the ZDF two-part Die Gustloff from 2007 he played a boatman . In 2009 Wlaschiha stood in Ludwigsburg for the ARD series One for all - women can do it better than Sebastian Vollenbrinck in front of the camera.

After supporting roles in various international productions, for example in Duell - Enemy at the Gates (2001), Munich (2005), Operation Walküre - Das Stauffenberg Attentat (2008) and Anonymus (2011), followed in 2011 a leading role in the British feature film Resistance by Amit Gupta . Wlaschiha also plays theater, mostly in classics by Schiller , Shakespeare and Chekhov in Dresden, Berlin , Zurich and Frankfurt am Main . He is also a speaker for radio plays and advertising . His uncle was the baritone Ekkehard Wlaschiha .
