course

The Dielbach rises at an altitude of 330  m above sea level. NN in the western Wasgau in a deciduous forest area on the northeast slope of the Hohe Kopf northwest of the Gypsy rock. It flows in a south-southeast direction through the Great Dielbachtal . After about 600 m it is strengthened by a small inlet on the right. The Dielbach now flows around the Dielkopf to the west . North of the deserted Faunerhof , it meets the L487 and then changes its direction to the south. His path, on which he is accompanied by the L 487 , now leads through the Faunertal nature reserve past the Faunerhof desert on his right and the Hirtenberg on the left. As it continues through the nature reserve, it is dammed in a series of small ponds. It still crosses under the L 478 and finally flows northeast of Ludwigswinkel at an altitude of 225  m above sea level. NN underground in the mill pond .

Mill pond

The Mühlweiher , also called Saarbacher Hammer , is a 4.5 hectare pond. It is 4 m deep at its deepest point. The color of its surface varies between pale brownish yellow and yellow. It was created in the 18th century for the "Saarbacher Hammer" hammer mill operated by water power. In 1919 it was drained and used as meadow and pasture. In the thirties, however, it was dammed again and has served as a fishing and bathing water since then.
