Doce

Doce was a Portuguese girl group from the 1980s.

In 1981 the girls took part in the Portuguese preliminary round for the Eurovision Song Contest with the song Ali-Bábá, um homem das Arábias : They only reached 4th place. A year later, the group won with the song Bem Bom , but they only reached 13th place in the song contest .

The members were Laura Diogo, Lena Coelho, Fátima Padinha and Teresa Miguel. Fátima and Teresa were the female half of the Gemini group , which represented Portugal at the Eurovision Grand Prix in 1978 .

Trivia

Fátima was married to Pedro Passos Coelho , who was Portuguese Prime Minister from 2011 to 2015, and has two daughters with him.
