Fernando Travassos Tordo (born March 29, 1948 in Lisbon ) is a Portuguese singer .

At the age of 18 he sang with the Portuguese beat band Sheiks , and from 1968 he became active as a solo artist. From 1969 to 1972 he took part in the Festival da Canção every year without winning. At the 1973 festival, however, he won and was therefore allowed to compete in the Concours Eurovision de la Chanson 1973 in Luxembourg for his home country. His hit Tourada reached a tenth place. In 1975 he founded together with u. a. Paulo de Carvalho , Ary dos Santos and Carlos Mendes the record company Toma Lá Disco .

Together with the band Os Amigos , Tordo won the preselection again and was therefore a second time in the Eurovision Song Contest . In the 1977 competition , their title took 14th place.

His son is the well-known writer João Tordo .
