Conan Osíris (born January 5, 1989 in Lisbon ; actually Tiago Miranda ) is a Portuguese singer . He represented Portugal at the Eurovision Song Contest 2019 in Tel Aviv with his song Telemóveis .

Life

His stage name was inspired by Egyptian mythology and the animated series Conan the Adventurer . He studied graphic design in Castelo Branco , where he met Rúben de Sá Osório, who became his personal stylist and created his image. He also gave him the name Osíris .

Conan Osíris began his artistic career with the release of his first album Cathedral . The albums Slik (2014), Musica Normal (2016) and Adoro Bolos (2017) followed. He is often accompanied by the dancer João Reis Moreira during his performances.

On March 2, 2019 Conan Osíris won the Portuguese preliminary decision for the Eurovision Song Contest 2019, Festival da Canção 2019 , with his self-composed song Telemóveis and represented Portugal in the first semifinals of the Eurovision Song Contest in Tel Aviv. There he missed the finals, however.
