Armando Gama

Armando António Capelo Diniz da Gama (born April 1, 1954 in Luanda ) is a Portuguese singer and pianist .

He lived in Luanda, Angola until 1971 , where he studied piano and music theory at the music college. When he moved to Lisbon , he became known in Portugal as a pop and pop singer. As the winner of the Festival da Canção 1983 he was allowed to compete for Portugal at the Eurovision Song Contest 1983 in Munich . With the ballad Esta balada que te dou he came in 13th place. In his 40-year career he has given countless concerts in Portugal, and in the 2000s he made regular appearances at Casino Estoril .
