Simone de Oliveira (born February 11, 1938 in Lisbon ) is a Portuguese singer and television and theater actress .

Her singing career began in the late 1950s, and numerous singles appeared until the early 1970s. She also began working there as an actress in the theater and in some feature films. As the winner of the Festival da Canção 1965 , she was allowed to represent her country at the Gran Premio Eurovisione della Canzone 1965 in Naples . With the hit Sol de inverno , she landed in 13th place. Her victory at the Festival da Canção in 1969 enabled her a second appearance at the Eurovision Song Contest : at the 1969 competition in Madrid , she achieved a hit in her home country with Desfolhada portuguesa despite being 15th.

De Oliveira is best known for her chanson , folklore and pop recordings . In 1984, however, she also recorded an album of Fado songs. The famous fadista Carlos do Carmo produced Mulher, Guitarra for her.

From the 1970s de Oliveira was seen in numerous Portuguese telenovelas and also appeared as an actress, for example in 2003 as Alma Mahler-Werfel in the production Alma - A Show Biz ans Ende by Joshua Sobol (director: Paulus Manker ) at the Convento dos in Lisbon Inglesinhos.
