Rui Bandeira (aka .: Rui Pedro Neto de Melo Bandeira , * 25. July 1973 in Nampula , Mozambique ) is a Portuguese pop - and pop singer .

As the winner of the Festival da Canção 1999, he was allowed to represent Portugal at the Eurovision Song Contest 1999 in Jerusalem . With the hit Como tudo começou (English: How it all began ) he landed in 21st place.
