Anabela

Anabela Braz Pires (born September 22, 1976 in Almada ) is a Portuguese singer and musical artist .

Anabela, who has already performed successfully in various singing competitions and has released two albums, won the 1993 Festival da Canção . Therefore she was allowed to represent Portugal at the Eurovision Song Contest 1993 in Millstreet . With the pop ballad A cidade (até ser dia) she reached number 10. From 1996 she became active as a musical performer and was seen in Portuguese productions of Jesus Christ Superstar , West Side Story and The Sound of Music .

In 2018 she took part again at the Festival da Canção and reached the final, where she finished sixth in the victory of Cláudia Pascoal .
