Tonicha (aka .: Antónia de Jesus Montes Tonicha Viegas * 8. March 1946 in Beja ) is a Portuguese pop - and folk - singer .

Her music career began in the mid-1960s with a Christmas album. As the winner of the Festival da Canção 1971 she was allowed to take part in the Eurovision Song Contest 1971 in Dublin . With the hit Menina do alto da serra she reached ninth place. She remained loyal to Portuguese hits into old age and published numerous records.
