Domowina publishing house
The Domowina publishing house , in Sorbian , is a publishing house in Germany that publishes Sorbian books, magazines and newspapers as well as German-language books on Sorbian topics. Despite the same name, the publishing house is organizationally independent of the Sorbian umbrella organization Domowina . It is funded by the Foundation for the Sorbian People .
The only Sorbian-language publisher was founded on July 1, 1958 in Bautzen as a state-owned company and was privatized after reunification . In it appear next to fiction , factual and children's books in Upper Sorbian , Lower Sorbian and German and Upper Sorbian newspaper Serbske Nowiny , Lower Sorbian weekly newspaper Nowy Casnik , the weekly Upper Sorbian Catholic magazine Katolski posol , the monthly cultural magazine Rozhlad and the biannual magazine for Sorbian language, history and culture Lětopis . By 2008 the publisher had almost 3800 publications out. There are around 60 new publications annually.
