history

Dratzig an der Netze - see upper half of the picture on the left - northwest of the city of Poznan on a map of the province of Poznan from 1905 (areas marked in yellow indicate areas with a predominantly Polish- speaking population at the time ).

Until the Versailles Treaty came into force , Dratzig was a village and manor district in the Filehne district ( Bromberg administrative district ) in the Prussian province of Posen . In 1910 there were 2494 inhabitants registered here.

In 1920 - after the networks were established as the border between Germany and Poland - Dratzig came to Poland under the name Drawsko , where it became part of the rural community of Wieleń ( Filehne ).

In 1939 the place, again named Dratzig, became part of the German district Filehne-Land, which from 1943 was named "Filehne (Wartheland) -Land".

Since 1945 the village has been Polish again and belongs to the powiat Czarnkowsko-Trzcianecki in the Greater Poland Voivodeship (1975-1998 Piła Voivodeship ( Schneidemühl )). It is the official seat of the rural community of the same name . Today there are 1640 inhabitants registered in Drawsko.
