Enzo Mezzapesa (born May 18, 1962 in Differdange ) is a former Luxembourg cyclist .

Athletic career

Mezzapesa began his career at the CCI Differdange association . In 1979 he made his first appearance by winning the bronze medal at the junior championships. Among the amateurs he was runner-up three times in a row (1982 to 1984). He made his first major tour with the domestic tour of Luxembourg (amateurs), which he finished in 38th. In June 1986 he became a professional driver. Between 1982 and 1988, Enzo Mezzapesa was six times Luxembourgish champion, three times with the amateurs and three times with the professionals . In addition to his championship titles, he won a race in Luxembourg. In 1988 he retired from active cycling as a professional cyclist. A year later he got his license as an amateur and continued to compete in cycling races.

Professional

Mezzapesa then worked as a sports director . In addition, he continues to be very successful in races in the " Masters " class, in which he won eight national titles up to 2011.
