Jean "Bim" Kirchen (born December 13, 1919 in Hostert , † November 30, 2010 in Luxembourg ) was a Luxembourg cyclist .

Athletic career

Jean Kirchen was a professional cyclist from 1942 to 1953. During this time he competed five times in the Tour de France ; twice, in 1948 and 1950 , he finished fifth. In 1952 he won the overall ranking of the Tour of Luxembourg and was sixth in the Tour of Germany .

In 1946 Kirchen was Luxembourgish champion in road racing, in 1951 he won both national titles, the road race and the individual time trial . In 1948 and 1952 he was also national champion in the cyclo-cross race .

Jean Kirchen is the great-uncle of the cyclist Kim Kirchen .
