Johny Goedert (born June 17, 1929 in Kayl / Teiteng ) is a former cyclist from Luxembourg .

In 1943 he began cycling in the Union Cycliste association from Esch an der Alzette . The first successes were quickly achieved, including a. he won the renowned Criterium des Jeunes held on April 11, 1948 over three stages. In 1949, when he was barely twenty, he won the first stage of the Tour of Luxembourg for amateurs . He was then nominated by the Luxembourg Association for the UCI Road World Championships in 1949 in Copenhagen , where he finished 10th.

In 1951 he moved to the professional driver camp for the French Terrot team. In 1952 he achieved his greatest success as the Luxembourg road racing champion . He then took on the Tour de France as a helper for his captain Stan Ockersteil and finished the tour in 57th place. In the same year he placed 24th at the road world championship held in Luxembourg .

From 1953 he shifted his sporting focus to cross-country races . Here he became national champion in 1953 and took second place at the national championships in 1954 and 1956. He took part in the Cyclo-cross World Championships four times. His best world championship result was fifth in 1954 in Crenna di Gallarte.
