From 1650 Marktredwitz was separated from Eger and leaned heavily on Kulmbach. In 1661 the parish of Brand was established and assigned to the superintendent of Wunsiedel. From 1158 to 1568 the seat of the superintendent was in Kirchlamitz. Since December 7, 1810, the superintendent's office has continued as the Bavarian Dean's Office. The following additions were recorded: Marktredwitz in 1827 and, through independence, the parishes in 1826 Schönbrunn, 1832 Schönwald, 1846 Spielberg and 1865 Hohenberg. Newly founded parishes were: Neuensorg in 1950, Bad Alexandersbad in 1958 and Tröstau in 1959.
