geography
The deanery district is located in the eastern Franconian Forest . The size of the deanery corresponds to that of the former Naila district .
history
The dean's office Naila has its roots in the margravial Brandenburg superintendent's office in Hof . This was set up in 1558 to organize the Protestant church system. After Naila and the surrounding area became Bavarian in 1810 together with the Margraviate of Bayreuth , the Bavarian deans of Hof , Steben and Ludwigsstadt were established on the territory of the Brandenburg superintendent of Hof in 1815 . The seat of the deanery in Steben was moved to Naila in 1894. Since then, the deanery has had its current name.
Today the parish office in Hof is responsible for the administrative affairs of the parishes of the Naila deanery .
Parishes
The deanery comprises 16 parishes in 11 parishes, in which 21,370 parishioners live:

Deanery facilities
The Denkanat has its own youth conference center. It is located in Schwarzenbach am Wald and is named after Christian Keyßer . The Christian-Keyßer-Haus is used in particular as a conference venue and as a leisure home, especially by church groups.
Religious background
The Naila dean's office is strongly pietistic . This is also expressed, for example, in the Christ Brotherhood, which has its motherhouse in Selbitz. There is also a regional church community in Naila . A Whitsun conference of supraregional significance takes place in Bobengrün every year . In the vicinity of Schwarzenbach am Wald in particular, several Pentecostal communities influence church life.
