history
The gentlemen from Aufseß have their headquarters in Aufseß . They were also the owners of the Wüstenstein manor . Aufseß became Protestant around 1530 and broke away from the mother parish of Heiligenstadt , which initially remained Catholic. Also around 1530 Wüstenstein became a Protestant branch of Aufseß. In Kirchahorn, the sovereignty of the Aufseß was again contested by the bishopric of Bamberg as a feudal lord. Nevertheless, the Reformation was enforced in 1566. In 1608 Bamberg promised to confirm the evangelical clergy presented if in return Catholic clergy were presented in Oberailsfeld .
The noble family of the Lords of Streitberg , which died out in 1690 , had, in addition to its ancestral seat in Streitberg , possessions in Heiligenstadt and Unterleinleiter, among others . The Reformation was introduced in 1545 in Streitberg, in 1580 in Unterleinleiter and in 1582 in Heiligenstadt, also known as Lutheran Hallstadt. In Hetzelsdorf , Muggendorf and Wannbach the sovereignty lay with the Markgraftum Brandenburg-Kulmbach . Margrave Georg the Pious introduced the Reformation to his principality in 1528.
The old Bamberg parish in Forchheim came into Kulmbach hands on May 13, 1552 in the second Markgräflerkrieg and was occupied by Protestants. From July 30, 1552 Forchheim was recaptured and the evangelical pastor expelled. During the Bavarian period, evangelical parish life was formed in Forchheim. In 1861 the Johannis parish received its own clergyman. In 1883 the community was raised to an independent parish. The Christ parish was established in 1957 and raised to a parish in 1959.
The Bavarian dean's office Muggendorf was established on January 19, 1846, with the parishes Aufseß, Brunn, Heiligenstadt, Muggendorf, Streitberg, Unterleinleiter (from the dean's office Bamberg), Hetzelsdorf (from the dean's office Graefenberg) and Kirchahorn (from the dean's office Creußen). Wüstenstein became an independent parish in 1912. In 1952, Ebermannstadt was founded.
