The oil damage specialist group (FGr Öl) as a specialist group of the THW supports the fight against pollutants on bodies of water and on the coasts . It combats and eliminates small, medium and large-scale oil damage nationwide and within the framework of technical assistance abroad . The basis for this is a federal-state agreement and the partner contract in the area of ​​the German coast for the control of pollutants on bodies of water and on the coasts. The oil damage specialist groups were created as the successor to some of the earlier repair trains.

Specialist group oil damage, type B

  • Truck 13 t with roll-off tipper system
  • 9 t truck with loading crane
  • 2-axle trailer for roll-off containers
  • Water / oil separation system (SEPCON), output 80/160 per hour

Specialist group oil damage, type C

  • Truck 13 t with roll-off tipper system
  • 2-axle trailer for roll-off containers
  • All-terrain forklift (as a transportable forklift)
  • Water / oil separation system (SEPCON), output 20/40 m³ per hour

The equipment for combating oil damage for specialist groups types A and B is procured by the coastal states , represented by the accident command , and made available to the oil damage specialist groups.
