Fauerbach vor der Höhe (officially: Fauerbach vd Höhe ) is a district of Butzbach in the Wetteraukreis in Hesse , Germany. About 750 people live in the village.
Geographical location
Fauerbach is located in the west of the Wetterau on the border with the wooded Hintertaunus around seven kilometers southwest of the core town of Butzbach.
history
The existence of the place can be traced back to the year 790 under the name villa Felbach or villa Falbach .
Territorial reform
In the course of the regional reform in Hesse , the state government approved the voluntary amalgamation of the communities of Fauerbach vd Höhe and Münster in the Friedberg district to form a community with the name Philippseck , which was to exist for only 13 months, with effect from December 31, 1970 . After the incorporation of the Philippseck community into the city of Butzbach on February 1, 1972, a local district with a local advisory board and mayor was set up for Fauerbach as for every district . The local district includes the area of the Fauerbach vdH district without the Wiesental area .
