The wetlands area around Bad Schussenried is a protected area (protected area identifier DE-8024-341) in the south-east of the German state of Baden-Württemberg, designated by the Tübingen regional council in accordance with Directive 92/43 / EEC (Fauna-Flora-Habitat Directive) .

location

The approximately 610 hectares (ha) large reserve wetlands around Bad Schussenried is one natural area to the Upper Swabian hills . Its seven sub-areas are around Bad Schussenried in the Biberach district and near Aulendorf and Bad Waldsee in the Ravensburg district .

description

The protected area wetlands around Bad Schussenried is made up of “low and raised bogs with eutrophic lakes and ponds in the vicinity of Bad Schussenried as well as various silting stages of ponds, swinging lawns, reeds, sedge reeds and wet meadows, as well as alder, bog and beech forests in the further Radius ”.
