The nature reserve grassland / wood complex near Ostbevern (NSG identification WAF-003) is around 54.3 hectares and is located in the North Rhine-Westphalian municipality of Ostbevern in the Warendorf district . It was first established as a nature reserve in 1988 under the name Feuchtwiesen bei Ostbevern . When the Ostbevern landscape plan came into force in 2011, it was again designated as a NSG with a slightly different layout and a new name.

The area is located northwest of the center of Ostbevern between the village farmers and the Lehmbrock, not far from the Handkenheide. It corresponds to the type of a structured park landscape and is characterized by wet and humid grassland and field trees. Objectives of the protection are among other things the preservation and the development of a biotope network system and the protection as a breeding area of ​​the lapwing .
