The Heidbusch nature reserve is located in the area of ​​the municipality of Everswinkel and the city of Telgte in the Warendorf district in North Rhine-Westphalia .

The 107 hectare area, which was placed under nature protection in 2004 , extends between the core town of Telgte in the northwest and the core town of Everswinkel in the south. The B 64 runs north and the Ems flows , while the L 793 state road runs south .

The protected status is done for the preservation, promotion, development and restoration of communities and habitats: Landscapes typical, rare and endangered animal and plant species in a large, nationally significant forest complex with well-trained English oak - hornbeam forests , Luzulo -Buchenwäldern and old acidophilous oak forests on sandy plains in their typical site range of variation, including their forests, bushes and perennials as well as their forest edges.
