The Ministry of Finance ( MOF; English Ministry of Finance ), the Ministry of Finance of Namibia . The former Governor of the Bank of Namibia Iipumbu Shiimi has been the Minister since March 23, 2020 .

The Ministry of Finance was headed between 2015 and 2020 by the German namibian Calle Schlettwein . Deputy Minister was Natangwe Ithete .

The Ministry is divided into two sections (English Department ), under which various directorates and divisions are.

  1. Government accounts ( Department of State Accounts )
    1. Expenditure and financial management ( Expenditure & Financial Management ), including two divisions
    2. Budget management and control ( Budget Management & Control ), including two divisions
    3. Assets, cash and debt management ( Asset, Cash and Debt Management ), including two divisions
  2. Revenue Management ( Revenue Management )
    1. Administration ( Administration ), including four divisions
    2. Inland Revenue , including six divisions
    3. Customs and taxes ( Customs and Excise ), including four divisions; This area will be outsourced to the state-owned Namibia Revenue Agency in January 2019 .

In addition, there is a directorate reporting directly to the State Secretary ( Economic Policy Advisory Service, with three divisions) and two divisions reporting directly to him ( Information Technology, and Internal Audit ).
