The Sogndal airport ( Norwegian lufthamn Sogndal, Haukasen ) is a western Norwegian regional airport in the province Vestland . The airport is located on the Sognefjord and is 9 km southwest of the thousand-inhabitant village of Kaupanger and 19 km south of Sogndalsfjøra . The airport is operated by the Norwegian state - owned company Avinor .
