Friedrich Wilhelm von Hobe (born January 30, 1792 in Habelschwerdt , † February 20, 1866 in Frankfurt (Oder) ) was a Prussian lieutenant general and knight of the Order of St. John .

Friedrich Wilhelm was a son of the Prussian major Karl Wilhelm von Hobe (1741-1806) and his wife Christiania Friederike Henriette, born von Below (1758-1792) from the house of Wendorf.

Military career

Hobe took effect on 31 January 1802 as a corporal corporal in the infantry regiment "of Sanitz" the Prussian army and became mid-November 1805 Portepeefähnrich . On March 30, 1829, Hobe was aggregated to the 33rd Infantry Regiment and on March 31, 1829 was assigned to the regiment as the oldest company commander . He was promoted to major on March 30, 1830 and came to the 11th Landwehr Regiment as commander of the 2nd battalion. On March 30, 1836, he was transferred to the 11th Infantry Regiment and promoted to lieutenant colonel in mid-September 1840 . On April 7, 1842, he was initially commissioned to lead the 10th Infantry Regiment and on January 10, 1843, he was appointed regiment commander. In this position, Hobe rose to colonel on March 22, 1843 , then received command of the 5th Landwehr Brigade on April 16, 1848 and was aggregated into the 10th Infantry Regiment on May 21, 1848. On May 8, 1849 he was promoted to major general .

On January 31, 1852, Hobe celebrated his 50th anniversary with the company. On May 4, 1852 he came as a commander in the 10th Infantry Brigade and in this position he received the Order of the Red Eagle, 2nd class with oak leaves on September 21, 1853 . Under awarding of the character as Lieutenant General he took his on May 5, 1855 farewell with board . On October 24, 1861, he received the Waldeck Military Merit Cross, First Class. He died on February 20, 1866 in Frankfurt (Oder).

Hobe married Henriette Wilhelmine Auguste Luise Hellwig (1800-1856) in Danzig on July 7, 1818, a daughter of the businessman Karl Wilhelm Hellwig from Danzig. The couple had several children:
