Czechoslovakia | - | Italy | 1: 1 (0: 0), 9: 8 i. E. |
In the small final, the Italians faced the Czechoslovaks. After 54 minutes, Czechoslovakia took a 1-0 lead thanks to a goal from Jurkemik. 19 minutes later Graziani was able to equalize. There was no extension. So the penalty shoot-out had to decide. After eight penalties scored on both sides, Collovati stepped up and missed. On the other side, Masny could decide everything with this penalty and he did. The host Italy was fourth at this European Championship.
