Kerstin Gänke , actually Kerstin Ulla Gänke-Reichert , (born September 22, 1958 in Düsseldorf ; † February 1, 2017 there ) was a German actress .

Life

Kerstin Ulla Gänke was initially trained as a doctor's assistant and as a medical-technical assistant . She then completed an apprenticeship as an actress at the Leistikow Drama School in Düsseldorf. She received a grant from the Filmstiftung Nordrhein-Westfalen in 1996 for a Hollywood Actors Workshop in Los Angeles .

Gänke received her first theater engagement at the Schauspielhaus Düsseldorf . She later moved to the State Theater in Hanover . There she played in a stage version of the novel Dangerous Liaisons by Choderlos de Laclos and in the musical Linie 1 . In the three-woman play Teures Glück by Jean Bouchard , she took on the role of the single mother Rosine. Inge Meysel , who had already appeared in this play in Berlin at the Komödie am Kurfürstendamm , then became aware of Gänke and helped her gain access to various tabloid theaters in Germany. In the following years, Gänke also played in the comedy on Kurfürstendamm, in the comedy Winterhuder Fährhaus in Hamburg and at the Theater am Dom in Cologne .

She also gained fame through her numerous television roles. She took on several continuous series roles, recurring episode roles and guest roles.

From 1997 to 2004 Gänke played the role of Evelyn Krings in the WDR series Die Anrheiner . From 2004 to 2005 she was seen on ZDF in the telenovela Bianca - Ways to Happiness in the role of Ariane Wellinghoff. She also played in film adaptations of stories by Inga Lindström and Rosamunde Pilcher for ZDF . From March to June 2012 she played the role of Nicola Westphal in the ARD -Telenovela Sturm der Liebe . From May to June 2013 she was seen again in the ARD telenovela as Franziska Appelt, who resembled the late Nicola Westphal.

Kerstin Gänke died after suffering from cancer for two years in her home town of Düsseldorf. She left behind her husband, the actor Lutz Reichert , and an adult son.
