Gran Premio Città di Camaiore

The Gran Premio Città di Camaiore (English Grand Prix of the City of Camaiore ) is a former Italian road bike race .

The race was held for the first time in 1949 and has been held annually until 2012 in August and then in March. It was held as an amateur race until 1965 . The start and end point is Camaiore ( Province of Lucca , Tuscany ). From 2005 to 2014 the one-day race was part of the UCI Europe Tour and was classified in category 1.1.

The competition was held for the last time as an independent event during the season. The organizers agreed with RCS Sport that the Gran Premio Città di Camaiore should form the first stage of Tirreno-Adriatico from 2015 to 2017 .

Record winners are the professional champions of 1979 and 1981 Giuseppe Saronni and Roberto Nencioli , who won the amateur competitions in 1961 and 1962.
