Garrett M. Brown (born November 7, 1948 in Battle Creek , Michigan ) is an American actor .

Life

Brown was born in Michigan but grew up in Connecticut . In 1972 he moved to New York City , where he initially worked as a nurse and waiter. For fun, he began taking acting classes, first at the theater, and later with acting teachers like Stella Adler .

From the late 1970s, Brown received first roles in film and television productions. He had his first major role in 1989 in the comedy Alone with Uncle Buck , in which he played the character of Bob Russell . From 1991 to 1996 he portrayed the husband of Georgie Reed Whitsig , played by Patricia Kalember , in 100 episodes of the television series Ein Strauss Töchter . Between 2000 and 2002, Brown played the character of Phillip Evans in 18 episodes of the science fiction series Roswell .

In the comic adaptations Kick-Ass (2010) and Kick-Ass 2 (2013) he was seen as Mr. Lizewski , the father of the main character played by Aaron Taylor-Johnson . In the television series Masters of Sex he asked Chancellor Fitzhugh . For his portrayal of the titular protagonist of the Tourette Syndrome diseased Frank , in Hello, My Name Is Frank (2014), he was at the Manhattan Film Festival as Best Actor award.

In the first season of the American Crime Story television series , which covers the criminal case against OJ Simpson , he played Nicole Brown Simpson's father Lou Brown .
