Venues of the Gauliga Cologne-Aachen 1943/44

The Gauliga Köln-Aachen 1943/44 was the third and last season of the Gauliga Köln-Aachen of the professional football department . The Gauliga was originally played in a group of ten teams in a round-robin tournament this season, whereby the LSV Bonn had withdrawn during the season. In the end, the war gaming community VfL 1899 / SpVgg Sülz prevailed and became gaumeister for the first time. As a result, Cologne qualified for the German soccer championship 1943/44 , in which they were eliminated in the first round after a 2-0 home defeat against KSG SpV / 48/99 Duisburg .

This was the last season of the Gauliga Köln-Aachen, a game operation in the season 1944/45 was not started. After Germany surrendered, the Gauliga was also dissolved. With the British Zone Championship there was again a national competition for clubs from North and West Germany in the post-war period.
