Gbely (German and Hungarian Egbell ) is a city in the north-west of Slovakia .
The city was mentioned in writing for the first time in 1392 and consists of the actual city of Gbely and the district of Cunín .
Here are some of the few Slovakian oil deposits that have the same origin as in the neighboring Lower Austrian Weinviertel .
