Prietržka (Hungarian Kispetrős - until 1907 Kispritrzsd , dt .: Kleinprettersch is a municipality in) west of Slovakia with 532 inhabitants (December 31, 2019) that the skalica district of, a circle kraj Trnavský heard, and in the traditional landscape Záhorie lies.
geography
The municipality is located in the northern part of the Záhorská nížina lowlands and on the edge of the Myjavská pahorkatina hills in the Chvojnica valley . The center of the village is at an altitude of 178 m nm and is four kilometers from Holíč and six kilometers from Skalica .
Neighboring municipalities are Vrádište in the north, Skalica in the northeast, Mokrý Háj in the east, Popudinské Močidľany in the southeast, Trnovec in the southwest and Holíč in the west.
history
Prietržka was mentioned in writing for the first time in 1392. In the 15th century, Stibor von Stiborice donated the town that had previously belonged to the Holitsch estate to the town of Skalitz in order to maintain the operation of the town hospital. This affiliation remained until the abolition of serfdom in 1848. In 1828 there were 57 houses and 398 inhabitants. Traditional occupation was and is agriculture, but there were and are also vineyards, especially to the south and southwest of the village.
Until 1918, the place in Neutra County belonged to the Kingdom of Hungary and then came to Czechoslovakia or now Slovakia.

According to the 2011 census, 499 people lived in Prietržka, 478 of whom were Slovaks and 3 Czechs. 2 residents indicated a different ethnic group and 16 residents gave no information in this regard. 402 residents committed themselves to the Roman Catholic Church, 5 residents to the Evangelical Methodist Church and 2 residents each to the Jehovah's Witnesses and to the Reformed Church; 9 residents professed a different denomination. 29 residents had no denomination and 37 residents had no denomination.
