The judicial district of Ratschach ( Slovene : sodni okraj Radeče , originally Weixelstein ) was a judicial district in the Kronland Carniola, which was subordinate to the District Court of Ratschach . It comprised parts of the political district Gurkfeld (Krško) in the Lower Carniola and was added to the state of Yugoslavia in 1919 .

history

The judicial district of Ratschach was created as a result of a ministerial lecture on August 6, 1849, in which the basic features of the court division were laid down, the judicial district initially being named Weixelstein. After the territorial division of the judicial districts and the allocation of the judicial districts to the newly established district authorities had been determined by the "Political Organizing Commission" in December 1849, the district courts of Carniola began their work on June 1, 1850. The District Court of Ratschach was assigned the 16 Boštajn (Sauenstein), Cerovec (Zerouz), Dobovic (Dobouz), Dvor (Duor), Goveji Dol (Gowidul), Hotemež (Hottemesch), Kal (Kal), Kompolje (Gimpel), Njivice (Niwitz), Podboršt (Podworst), Podkraj (Podkrai), Radeče (Ratschach), Šentjur (St. Georgen), Sveti Križ (St. Crucis), Verh (Werch) and Verhovo (Wechou) . Together with the judicial districts Landstraß (Kostanjevica), Nassenfuß (Mokronog) and Gurkfeld (Krško), the judicial district of Ratschach formed the Gurkfeld district.

The judicial district had a present population of 8,999 in 1880, with 8,871 people giving Slovene and 114 people German as the colloquial language. In 1910 9,606 people were expelled from the judicial district, of whom 9,414 spoke Slovenian (98.0%) and 37 German (0.4%).
