The judicial district Littai ( Slovene : sodni okraj Litaja , originally judicial district St. Martin bei Littai ) was a judicial district in the crown land of Carniola, which was subordinate to the district court Littai . It included parts of the political district of Littai (Litija) and was added to the state of Yugoslavia in 1919 .

history

The judicial district of Littai was created as a result of a ministerial lecture on August 6, 1849, in which the basic features of the court division were laid down, the judicial district initially being called Weixelstein. After the territorial division of the judicial districts and the allocation of the judicial districts to the newly established district authorities had been determined by the "Political Organizing Commission" in December 1849, the district courts of Carniola began their work on June 1, 1850. The district court of Littai was assigned the 16 municipalities of Goba velika sveti Mihela soseka (St. Michael zu Goba), Gradiše (Gradische), Jablanica (Jablanitz), Ješen Verh (Jeschenberg), Košca (Kosza), Kresnice through the regional division of Carniola in March 1850 (Krsnitz), Kresniški Verh (Kresnitzberg), Liberga (Liberga), Litija (Littai), Poljane (Polane), Polšnjik (Billichberg), Šmartno (St. Martin), Sveti Anton (St. Anton), Trebelevo (Trebeleu), Assigned to Vintarjevic (St. Peter and Paul) and Volavlje (Wolaule). Together with the judicial district Weixelburg (Višnja Gora), the judicial district Littai formed the district Littai.

The judicial district had a present population of 22,428 in 1880, with 21,658 people giving Slovene and 649 people German as the colloquial language. In 1910, 24,255 people were expelled from the judicial district, of whom 23,621 spoke Slovene (97.4%) and 349 German (1.4%). The majority of the German-speaking minority lived in the municipality of Zagorje in 1910 (German: Sagor).
