The Gmina Krapkowice is an urban-and-rural municipality in the powiat Krapkowicki in the Opole Voivodeship in Poland . Its seat is the city of the same name ( German Krappitz ) with about 16,600 inhabitants.

The municipality has an area of 97.44 km², of which 67% are agricultural areas and 18% are forest areas. The municipality takes up 22.03% of the area of the district.

The administration is headed by a mayor who is directly elected by the population every four years. The 2018 mayoral election led to the following result:
- Andrzej Kasiura ( German Minority Election Committee ) 52.8% of the vote
- Maciej Sonik ( Koalicja Obywatelska ) 47.2% of the vote
Kasiura was thus re-elected as mayor in the first ballot.
The election of the 21-member municipal council on the same day produced the following results:
- German minority election committee 44.7% of the vote, 10 seats
- Koalicja Obywatelska (KO) 37.7% of the vote, 8 seats
- Election Committee Together for the citizen 6.9% of the vote, 1 seat
- Prawo i Sprawiedliwość (PiS) 5.4% of the votes, 1 seat
- Election Committee Krapkowice-Land 5.3% of the vote, 1 seat

In 2002 the community had 25,397 inhabitants. In addition to the Polish population, 3763 people (14.8%) stated German nationality (ethnicity) in the 2002 census. In the 2011 census, with a total population of 23,706 people, the percentage of Germans was 11.0% or 2,610 people.
