Gschwendt is a village and a cadastral municipality of the municipality of Kottes-Purk in the Zwettl district in Lower Austria , as well as a former municipality.

Settlement development

At the turn of the year 1979/1980 there were a total of 17 building areas with 10,058 m² and 30 gardens on 30,583 m² in the cadastral community of Gschwendt , in 1989/1990 there were 14 building areas. In 1999/2000 the number of building areas had grown to 73 and in 2009/2010 there were 40 buildings on 65 building areas.

Land use

The cadastral community is characterized by agriculture. 160 hectares were used for agriculture at the turn of the year 1979/1980 and 41 hectares were forest areas. In 1999/2000 agriculture was carried out on 135 hectares and 36 hectares were designated as areas used for forestry. At the end of 2018, 132 hectares were used as agricultural land and forestry was carried out on 36 hectares. Gschwendt's average soil climate number is 24.5 (as of 2010).
