Voitsau is a village and a cadastral municipality in the municipality of Kottes-Purk in the Zwettl district in Lower Austria .

Settlement development

At the turn of the year 1979/1980 there were a total of 41 building areas with 20,694 m² and 41 gardens on 21,024 m² in the cadastral community Voitsau , in 1989/1990 there were 41 building areas. In 1999/2000 the number of building areas had grown to 183 and in 2009/2010 there were 127 buildings on 188 building areas.

Land use

The cadastral community is characterized by agriculture. 279 hectares were used for agriculture at the turn of the year 1979/1980 and 12 hectares were forest areas. In 1999/2000 agriculture was carried out on 264 hectares and 23 hectares were designated as areas used for forestry. At the end of 2018, 258 hectares were used as agricultural land and forestry was carried out on 24 hectares. The average soil climate in Voitsau is 25.1 (as of 2010).
